I can't login/I forgot my username and password!
You can have your login details sent to you by e-mail. To do this go here, scroll down to "lost password" and enter your e-mail address. Be sure to use the e-mail address you signed up with, this is how the system will locate your login details. Your login details will be e-mailed to you. If you don't receive the e-mail within a few minutes, please check your bulk folder as it may have been rerouted there.
I'm a member but the system does not recognize my e-mail address!
Is it possible you signed up under a different e-mail address? If so, give that a try.
Otherwise, there may have been a type-o when you entered your e-mail address upon first joining. This is the most common cause when the system cannot find find a member's e-mail address. Please CONTACT US to let us know and we will get your login details to you (and of course, please let us know the correct e-mail address). When contacting us please include your full name (we can't locate the records if we don't know who you are).
I have questions regarding my account

I want to change my e-mail addres
Please go to YOUR ACCOUNT, located under Member Resources in the left navigation panel and follow the link to change your e-mail address.
I want to change the e-mail address where the free newsletter is sent
The Film Specific newsletter is available free to anyone who requests it and is separate and distinct from site membership. The fastest way to change the address where the newsletter is sent is to click the link at the bottom of the e-mail newsletter to change your options. You will be redirected to a page where you can change your e-mail address.
The Film Specific newsletter is available free to anyone who requests it and is separate and distinct from site membership. We do put updates about new paid members content in there, but we do so cause it is the most efficient way to alert our subscribers to new content available on the site. Members have given us feedback that they like that direct links are provided to them within the newsletter.
I want to renew my subscription
Please visit our Member Benefits page. You will see a link to renew. Or click here to be taken directly to the renewal page.
How can I upgrade my subscription from Basic to Premium?
If you are a monthly member, please use our Premium subscription form...fill out the form using your current username, password and e-mail address. At the bottom of the form be sure to choose "YES" when it asks you if this is a renewal. Yearly members, please CONTACT US.
I have questions regarding my projects
For general questions regarding distribution, sales agents, etc. please post them on the DISCUSSION FORUM. They are monitored frequently and, if your question is for Stacey, she can get back to you there. In addition, we have extremely knowledgeable, experienced and helpful members. We encourage everyone to reach out to their fellow members as well and work to ensure the message boards remain a supportive, respectful environment.

We always love to hear your feedback and suggestions for content or issues you'd like covered on the site. Please CONTACT US to let us know and we will do our best to cover your topic (but our site focus is very specific so we do keep the content centered around distribution).
Would you be interested in investing in my film or in helping me distribute my film?
Film Specific is an educational resource. We are NOT investors, we do NOT represent films in the U.S. or international marketplaces and we are NOT a distributor. We do offer very specific consulting services that are separate and distinct from site membership. The services we offer are outlined here.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Please login to the site and visit YOUR ACCOUNT, this is also accessible under Member Resources on the left navigation panel. There is a link and instructions for canceling your account. The process is very easy but please FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS to ensure your account is canceled.
Due to the unreliable nature of e-mail, it is best to cancel your account online. However, if you have questions or are having problems with canceling please do not hesitate to CONTACT US.
If I unsubscribe from the newsletter will that cancel my subscription?
The Film Specific newsletter is free to anyone who requests to it and is separate and distinct from site membership. (We put links to members content in there as a convenience for members to access the newest content). As the newsletter and membership are separate and distinct and the fact that you receive it is NOT tied to membership, unsubscribing from the newsletter will only remove you from the newsletter recipient list, it will not cancel your website subscription. If you would like to cancel your site subscription, please visit YOUR ACCOUNT, located under Member Resources on the left navigation panel of the site and, after verifying your password (you will be prompted to do this), please follow the prompts and instructions provided to cancel your account. The cancelation process is very easy, however, you must FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS provided to ensure your account is properly canceled.
I'm getting duplicate e-mails, how can I make it stop?
The easiest way is to go to the bottom of one of the e-mails you are receiving and click Unsubscribe. You will be taken to a page where you can elect to stop receiving e-mail communications. Please choose to stop communications and the duplicate will be removed.
Do you have a referral program?
Of course! If you refer a friend and they sign up for a membership just have them send us a e-mail letting us know who referred them. For each person you refer who signs up you will earn THREE MONTHS of your membership plan free (we add it on as of your next renewal date). For yearly subscribers, we add it on the end of your yearly membership. So if you refer four people who sign up (but the one catch is they have to let us know who sent them), you can get a free membership for a year.
This referral program only applies to current members.
